LCA Profile – McClees Davis
 For nearly 20 years McClees Davis has been giving out of her mother’s heart to the students of Life Center Academy by volunteering as LCA’s Cheerleading Coach for grades 6 through 12. In addition, she has cherished traveling with the Senior Classes on their missions trips for the past 16 years.
As a provider of a home day care service for children ranging from infancy to kindergarten age, McClees shares her love with kids every day. However her love for children doesn’t stop with the young ones cared for in her home. Having raised 5 daughters, McClees is a seasoned veteran when it comes to influencing young people. In her early years of motherhood, she learned how to raise children through the Godly guidance of her Pastor’s wife, Carol.
Listening to the wisdom of those who have gone before is very important to McClees. She passes the priority of this concept on to the LCA students, stating that it is important not to let pride get in the way of learning valuable lessons. As she combines her enjoyment of basketball and cheerleading with her love for the LCA students, she is thrilled to watch “her kids” learn new things and seeing the “light-bulbs come on” in their lives.
Traveling on the missions trip every year especially encourages McClees to interact with the LCA Seniors and to watch them connect spiritually with God. She places the highest value on a personal relationship with God which will then help with relationships between people. “Patience and kindness are very important when dealing with all people and are among the most important things a person can learn,” she states.
McClees believes that success comes in the hope that children, both within her own family and the multitudes within her heart, will make it to Heaven. Her most important goal is to be a Godly example and to influence “her kids” so that they will develop their own personal relationships with God.
