Every student will now have access to his or her textbook at home via the website www.algebra1.com. On the website, there are practice quizzes and practice tests available for every chapter. These tests and quizzes will provide hints and immediate feedback directly related to the lessons being taught in the student text. This service is free to all LCA students using the Glencoe Algebra 1 Textbook.

In order to access this extra practice material, log on to www.algebra1.com. You will then click on the icon of the blue Algebra 1 book on the right hand side of the screen. Click on the "student/parent center link" and then click "enter". On the left hand side of your screen, you will then see links to several online resources. From here, you can access all of the "Chapter Readiness Quizzes", all of the "Chapter Tests", all of the "Self-Check" Quizzes for individual sections and many more valuable resources.

Students will receive an access code in class so that they will be able to access the "Online Student Edition" of their textbooks from their home computers. Should the student misplace the access code, please contact me either by a phone call to the school office at 609-499-2100 or through email at kim_doughty@verizon.net. If email contact is chosen, please put the words "Algebra 1 Online Access Code" in the subject line and include the name of the student for whom you are requesting this code in the body of the email.

It is recommended that students take full advantage of these resources.
