| We accept children into this class who are not quite three as long as they are potty-trained, verbal, and able to participate. We emphasize social skills in this class.
Activities include group instruction in calendar, weather, holidays, songs, flannel board lessons, Bible stories, alphabet and phonics skills, numbers 1-15, and Reading Readiness skills.
The children are provided with play centers, and "hands-on" time for using crayons, paints, glue, craft materials, etc. |
This class has a more structured learning environment and the children are encouraged to accept responsibility and taught to function independently within the classroom. This is a Pre-Kindergarten class.
Activities include group instruction in calendar, weather, pledge, holidays, songs, stories, flannel board lessons, Bible stories, alphabet and phonics skills, numbers 1-20, Reading Readiness, Science, and social skills.
The children have several play centers to choose from, and "hands-on" time for learning the alphabet, math, reading, arts and crafts, and special themes.
